Great question!

Water repellent means that LIO’s material makes water slide right off!

It is resistant to common rain conditions, i.e. light to mild rain intensity. However LIO is not waterproof.

In addition you shouldn’t dunk it in water. After industrial factory testing, which mimics strong rain conditions, moisture appeared on the stitching of top flaps of the MoonLock mechanism.

For a quick run to the bus stop in the rain, LIO should keep your essentials dry. However, if there are strong storm conditions, or you are outside for an extended period of time in the rain, LIO may get wet.
